  • We stand behind our music program. If, within the first two weeks, it doesn't meet your expectations, we will refund everything except lessons attended. Your satisfaction is our priority.

Studio Cancellation Policy

  • You are required to commit to the entire term after enrolment.

  • A notice to leave the studio must be provided in writing to admin@corestudiossydney.com at least 14 days before the next terms’ payments commence.

Lessons Policy

  • Lessons occur weekly during NSW public school terms, 40 weeks a year.

  • Lesson fees are paid in monthly installments via direct debit due on the 1st of each month.

  • If your lesson falls on a Public Holiday, there will be a make-up day in the following first week of school holidays.

  • School holiday lessons are available at an extra cost, depending on frequency.

  • No refunds can be made for payments after they have been debited.

  • Accounts are not-transferable between students

Absence & Make-Up Policy

  • If your child is unable to attend due to sickness, emergencies, holidays/cultural events or school-related absences, please notify us as soon as possible at admin@corestudiossydney.com.

  • For any planned absence, we expect notification as soon as the booking or schedule is confirmed, with a minimum period of 14 days notice.  We will credit these lessons to your next invoice.

  • If we do not receive at least 14 days notification for a planned absence, the missed lesson will be billable as part of the regular term fees, and there will not be access to make-up group lessons.

  • No group make-up lessons will be awarded for unannounced absences.

  • For last-minute cancellations advised to admin@corestudiossydney.com we will arrange a group make up lesson and our private teacher will assign relevant instrumental homework to keep you on track.  We cannot issue credits for last-minute absence.

  • In cases of extended leave (3 or more consecutive lessons) due to medical reasons we require a medical certificate to credit these lessons to your account.

  • Core Studios allows credits for compassionate leave on a case-by-case basis, at the Studio’s discretion.

No-Show & No-Notice Policy

  • If there are repeated no-shows without notice, you may forfeit your timeslot at the studio.

  1. After a 3 consecutive unannounced absences, the studio reserves the right to assign your timeslot to another student.

Late Payment Policy

  • Payments are due on the 1st of each month. If payment is not received by the due date, you will receive an automatic reminder email.

  • We understand that sometimes life gets busy, so we offer a grace period of three missed payments before any further steps are needed.

  • After three missed payments, a late fee of 10% will be applied to your account.

  • If payment is still not received after the late fee is applied, we may need to temporarily pause lessons until a payment plan is agreed upon.

  • We encourage you to reach out to us if you're having any difficulty with payments, as we are always happy to assist where possible.

Ongoing Fee Adjustments

  • The studio reserves the right to incrementally increase term fees in-line with increasing costs

  • We will not increase fees during an enrolment period (10 week term).  Any fee increases will occur after a term has finished and before the next commences.

  • We will notify via e-mail at least one-month before fee increases take place.

Media Release

  • Core Studios Sydney reserves the right to use any photographs/video taken at our teaching locations or at any event hosted by Core Studios Sydney.

  • Any parent or student who does not wish to have their image recorded or photographed must make their wishes known in writing.

  • To ensure privacy, images will never be identified using names or any personal information without written consent from the subject, parent, or legal guardian.

Definitions

  • Term - enrolment periods at the studio.  Every term is 10 weeks long.

  • Lesson - a half hour one-on-one instrument lesson and consecutive half hour group class.

  • Enrolment period - a 10-week Term

  • Planned absence - any absence you have advanced notice of.  Holiday bookings, school camps, performances & award ceremonies and religious/cultural events are all examples of planned absences

  • Unplanned absence - any absence that is unforeseeable.  Mild illness, automotive issues, unplanned public transport interruptions

  • Compassionate circumstances - examples include passing of loved ones, serious accident/illness/injury, sudden severe financial changes.  

  • Discussions about sensitive topics are always confidential, and should be directed to hello@corestudiossydney.com and/or julie@corestudiossydney.com if you would prefer the details not be shared with the teaching/administrative team.  We will act with discretion where directed.
